About the Role

 

Position Purpose

 

Process consumer, commercial and HELOC loans.  Perform operational tasks to support and assist the Loan Department, Credit Administration and other departments in the preparation of loan documents. This position is necessary to ensure accuracy and the timely delivery of loan documents to the lender and provide expertise in loan coding and various compliance issues to meet the bank’s policy standards.

 

Essential Functions and Additional Responsibilities

Essential Functions   

  • Process consumer, commercial and HELOC loans.
  • Analysis of the lender documentation checklist to insure accuracy of fees, loan coding and exceptions according to Glacier Bank loan policy.
  • Maintain current knowledge of all facets of the bank’s documentation software and core system.
  • Insure that all compliance regulations pertaining to documentation are met within the scope of the credit.
  • Review title commitments through a comparison to loan request, ensuring the accuracy of the security documents.
  • Provide accurate and timely loan documents to lenders.
  • Monitor and obtain verification of loan approval limits/authorities for each loan.
  • Monitor flood determination information supplied by the lender and Loan Servicers to ensure appropriate documents are prepared by the loan closing date and that they meet regulatory guidelines.
  • Review the documents as each loan is processed, to verify accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare initial CRA source document file in bank’s Shared Drive.
  • Prepare Adverse Action documents and set up the scanning file for Adverse Action as assigned.
  • Print all loan documents for the appropriate lender.
  • Maintain effective coordination and communication with area personnel and management.
  • Timely and consistent attendance.
  • Stay up to date on loan document scanning
  • Maintain and monitor loan documentation exception file.
  • Prepare consumer loan documents on Laser Pro.
  • Completes assigned paperwork for management and Lenders. Completes records and reports promptly and accurately.
  • Supports and assists area personnel as needed.
  • Attends and participates in meetings and trainings offered by FSBW and software vendors as required.
  • Orders title insurance, flood determinations, appraisals, UCC searches, vehicle search, etc. for all loans.
  • Process consumer loans, loan closing documents, changes in terms and adverse action.
  • Maintains collateral and insurance exception report.
  • Pre-closing quality control of consumer credit files insuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Sets up credit file for new consumer loans in imaging software.
  • Miscellaneous duties include filing and answering questions from co-workers in other departments regarding loan interaction with other product lines and other issues.
  • As required may complete necessary tasks for HMDA/LAR reporting.
  • Perform necessary follow-up activities to insure that each loan file is accurate and complete.
  • Must complete the assigned online training courses and achieve a passing score by due date.
  • Maintain effective loan verification procedures to ensure proper compliance.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
  • Must adhere to FSBW Corporate Culture.
  • Keeps management appropriately informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
  • Participate in Community Service and Bank sponsored activities that serve and support the mission and values of
  • Provide superior internal and external customer service: must demonstrate self-governance, courtesy and respect toward external customers as well as internal customers (all organization personnel).
  • Represent FSBW in a professional manner which includes a professional image, confidentiality, a positive “can-do” attitude, good attendance, punctuality, flexibility and adaptability in meeting bank and customer needs. Keep work area tidy and maintain customer privacy. Attends and participates in meetings as required.

About You

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High degree of attention to detail as well as excellent organizational skill(s) to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have ability to prioritize and organize heavy workload(s) and demonstrate effective time management skill(s).
  • Must have the ability to work in a professional manner and consistently demonstrate courtesy, customer service, and tact in a fast-paced/deadlines-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately: perform effectively under pressure; meeting multiple and sometimes competing deadlines and make decisions based on regulation(s), company policy(s), knowledge and experience.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to understand and follow complex written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Basic computer skill with working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, ten-key, and general computer applications.
  • Working knowledge of standard office equipment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A moderate level of banking knowledge desired.  

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

 

 Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level.

 

Must be capable of occasional travel (less than 10 days per year) by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities.

Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
