About the Role

First Community Bank Utah is a progressive bank with great growth opportunities. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with business lending experience. Someone with proven sales experience to analyze loan requests and make strategic decisions on credit and lending needs to achieve customer satisfaction while always adhering to policies and practices.



  • Participate in commercial business development activities.
  • Interview business loan applicants to develop information concerning their loan needs, earnings, and financial conditions.
  • Analyze current financial position of customers to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money.
  • Make decisions to approve, disapprove, or forward the loan request to higher levels for decision.
  • Explain loan programs to customers, evaluates their needs and recommends loan options.
  • Establish the terms and conditions for a loan approval and reviews them with the customer.
  • Prepare and/or review all loan documents for completion and accuracy and closing loan transactions.
  • Follow current loans to ensure compliance with terms and coordinates with collections.
  • Stay informed of current trends in business credits.
  • Other duties as assigned

About You


  •  Five to eight years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled private office with minimal noise.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to: sit; use hands in repetitive motions to finger, grasp, handle or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to: stand; walk; and lift or reach with hands and arms.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional moving and/or lifting of up to 20 lbs. Must be able to operate routine office equipment. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 4-6 hours per day. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
