About the Role

SUMMARY

 

First Community Bank Utah is seeking a talented and motivated Consumer Lender. This position is primarily assigned to the Park City Branch but also assist other branches, as needed, to originate loans, perform some underwriting and collections as needed.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepares physical loan file documentation
  • Adherence to established guidelines and policies
  • Using Decision Pro, orders credit report and enters loan information prior to underwriting
  • Orders and ensures all loan collateral documents are correct, including title reports, vehicle titles and insurance
  • Submits loan for concurring decision, approval or denial, utilizing Decision Pro
  • Examines loan terms, interest rates to ensure that documents are prepared, and loan funded
  • Prepares Adverse Action notices as required
  • Familiar with and ensures compliance to issues regarding timing of appropriate consumer loan disclosures and notices
  • Opens new customer accounts
  • Ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principals
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written to maintain a heavy volume of correspondence, personal contact, and telephone communication.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Other job responsibilities as necessary

About You

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years lending experience 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:

  •  Experience in preparing, documenting, underwriting and reviewing consumer loans

Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
