Our growing financial institution is seeking a Loan Servicing Specialist to be based out of our Chelan location. The Loan Servicing Specialist will support our loan department. The successful candidate will demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills as he/she will be responding to employee and customer requests, including loan advances, payoff quotes and credit inquiries. Further, this individual will board loans using our core processing system and disburse loan proceeds.


  • Boards and disburses new loans, processes renewals, and loan modifications.
  • Responds to employee and customer requests, including loan advances, payoff quotes and credit inquiries.
  • Performs required loan account maintenance, including name and address changes, recurring payment cancelation, and resolution of non-posted payments. Reviews co-workers file maintenance journal for accuracy.
  • Reviews weekly collateral tracking report. Contacts insurance agents, sends correspondence to customers, and updates collateral tracking in Silverlake.
  • Processes all draw requests, ensuring conformity to applicable budgets, approval authority, and relevant procedures. Processes payments on loans and contract collection accounts.
  • Remits and accepts payments pertaining to loans participated with other financial institutions. Performs reporting and account reconciliation as needed to ensure accuracy of records and reporting.
  • Prepares annual assignment and indemnity documentation for crop insurance policies; updates collateral tracking in Silverlake.
  • Maintain filing fees accounts.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Must complete the assigned online training courses and achieve a passing score by due date.
  • Supports High Performance Checking customer acquisition strategy through Tell A Friend referral program.

About You

  • Six months to two years of similar or related experience; banking experience preferred.
  • High school degree or GED.
  • Communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work on a team
  • Knowledge of loan processing is a plus

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: ability to occasionally lift up to 10 lb items including filing boxes.


Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
