About the Role

Mountain West Bank is looking for experienced individuals to assist with the SBA PPP (Paycheck Protection Program) loan preparation and processing.  These individuals will work under general supervision to assist SBA Operations Manager with ensuring all SBA PPP Loans conform to objectives, policies, procedures and compliance with Bank and SBA SOP manuals and procedures.  This is a TEMPORARY position lasting from three (3) to six (6) months.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist SBA Operations Manager with all items related to the Paycheck Protection Program loans including but not limited to reviewing PPP loan applications; preparing PPP Loan Forgiveness application packages and submitting to SBA for review and payment.  Assist with obtaining any additional documentation required to conform with SBA Policies. 
  • Send out PPP Forgiveness Applications to borrowers with supporting documentation requests and follow up for any pending items
  • Assist SBA Operations Manager with monitoring and tracking PPP loan applications and forgiveness applications. 
  • Assist SBA Operations Manager with tracking of SBA Payments of PPP Forgiveness Funds
  • Complete and process requests for Change in Terms on any loans that do not qualify for full forgiveness
  • Refer likely candidate for Bank’s products and services to appropriate person for follow-up and close of sale.
  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control

About You

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years commercial loan clerical experience in a banking environment.  
  • Good Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written to maintain a heavy volume of correspondence, personal contact, and telephone communication.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Ability to multi-task and handle complex tasks efficiently.  Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills

 

PREFERRED SKILL, ABILITY, EXPERIENCE:

  • Knowledge of SBA SOP’s as related to loan processing
  • Knowledge of MWB/GBCI lending procedures

Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
