About the Role
Tellers provide outstanding service to customers while accurately performing account transactions. Position uses knowledge of bank products and services to effectively cross-sell online banking services and to refer customers to other bank products. Promotes increased customer use of bank products and services to enhance customer satisfaction. Position complies with all banking laws and regulations.
POSITION DETAILS: This is a part-time position working 30 hours/week M-F and Saturday. Application deadline is 5:00 p.m. on 7/13/20.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Processing Transactions: Complete customer transactions in a timely and accurate manner, while exhibiting patience, attention to detail, and in accordance with guidelines and procedures. Perform other duties related to handling money/transactions including, but not limited to, processing deposits, withdrawals, and money transfers; handling credit card advances; accepting loan payments; filling change orders for businesses; sorting, counting, and wrapping money for transfer to vault; operating coin machine, etc. Perform duties related to branch capture by scanning work at the branch throughout the day; completing appropriate paperwork; and faxing information to the Data Center with run number, number of items, and batches for verification purposes.
Balancing and Accuracy: Maintain accurate cash drawer and cash/negotiable instruments are in balance. Maintain appropriate cash limits in drawer. Transactions are processed completely and with accuracy. This includes, but is not limited to, deposits and withdrawals, Currency Transactions Reports, cash advances on credit cards, and foreign currency and check transactions. Products and Service: Use knowledge of bank products and services to effectively cross-sell appropriate products and services to customers by referring to appropriate team members. Actively participate in bank promotional activities.
High school degree or GED; minimum six months experience providing excellent customer service to include cash handling experience; bank experience is preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:
Working knowledge of cash handling procedures; banking compliance regulations and guidelines related to area of responsibility; and bank products and services. Skill in the operation and/or use of computer keyboard; office equipment, including calculators, copier, teller audit machines, coin and currency counters, and branch capture equipment. Ability to provide excellent customer service; follow instructions; handle numerous detailed transactions quickly and accurately; and effectively cross-sell bank products and services.
Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled work environment with moderate noise.

work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
