About the Role
Assists loan officers in producing new loans and servicing existing loans in the portfolio. Maintains credit and collateral files and tracks file documentation. Coordinates loan closings and assists customers in lenders absence. Performs duties related to CRA/HMDA Data Review, scanning, and post closing review of commercial loan documentation. Work is performed under general supervision according to existing procedures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides loan processing services for loan officers throughout the company and administrative support for officers within the unit. Ensures all required documentation is in the file. Generates and maintains required loans documentation to ensure compliance with all federal and state requirements.
Identify, input and maintain outstanding tickler items to ensure follow-up items are being reported, tracked and resolved properly. Provides checklists of needed documents to the assigned Relationship Manager. Keeps lender aware of documentation exceptions.
Complete regulatory due diligence to validate information required for documentation; obtain and/or conduct a thorough review of corporate and collateral documentation, i.e., certificates of existence, flood determinations, appraisals, lien searches, title searches/commitment to check for accuracy, completeness and compliance with loan approval guidelines and internal policies.
Coordinates loan closing with lending personnel and completes remote document delivery. Conduct a post funding review, and cross check core systems to ensure the loan is booked correctly. Ensure the final title policy is received and review for accuracy.
Reviews approved credit memos to understand the type and structure of the loan in order to correctly identify the necessary loan documents and fund the loan accurately and in a timely manner.
Sets up customer and account information on financial institutions database and mainframe system; disburses proceeds after the loan has been closed.
Acts as a resource to personnel for questions regarding regulatory issues including CRA, HMDA, Adverse Action Procedures. Also acts as resource for coding or other loan related items.
Assists with the implementation of a comprehensive compliance program to ensure conformity with federal and state laws and help coordinate compliance audits and organization examinations.
Assists with the review of all HMDA LARs, CRA LARs, Adverse Action Logs.
Assists with the monitoring of compliance-related procedures and performing audits to insure procedures are being followed and forms are being used properly. Supports making the information necessary to complete external compliance examinations available. Assists in training personnel on the policies and procedures.
Analyzes loans for CRA and HMDA eligibility as well as FHLB and BIC eligibility.
Performs the review of all information presented to examiners and auditors prior to submission.
Directs and assists in the scanning of all loan related documents and support items.
Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:
Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level.

Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.
Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
