About the Role

Summary

 

Our growing financial institution is seeking a Commercial Market Leader to be an integral part of our lending team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the success of the institution’s commercial loan objectives. This individual will oversee our Commercial Lending team while providing guidance, making credit decisions, and marketing for new loans. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Takes applications for commercial loan business. Reviews customer financial condition and assesses the customer's ability to repay the loan. Makes underwriting decisions within the approval authority.
  • Participates in developing lending and deposit business for the organization. Calls on clients to expand existing business; calls on prospects seeking opportunities to expand the client base.
  • Evaluates, trains, supervises and directs department lending. Leads regular team meetings.
  • Represents the organization as appropriate in its relationships with customers, business community, and civic organizations.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Once of Foreign Assets Control.

 

 

About You

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ten years of experience, including time spent in preparatory position

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school desired.
  • Previous knowledge of NCB Products and Services.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:

  • Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter expert in the position. In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature is a normal part of the day-to-day experience. Communications can involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
