About the Role

Mountain West Bank is looking for enthusiastic, flexible and motivated Regional Support Representative (RSR) for our Boise/Meridian area branches!  This individual will preform the duties and responsibilities of a Customer Service Representative and/or Personal Financial Representative as needed. He/she will act as a primary contact person with the public while performing customer service functions and financial transactions for customers. He/she will learn to spot and develop sales opportunities by determining additional product and service needs of the customers and will be referring them to the appropriate individual for follow-up and close of sale. This individual must be client focused, hold confidentiality in the highest regard, have a technical capacity, be thorough and communicate proficiently.  This is a 40 hour a week position with benefits.  The RSR must be able to travel between Boise, Meridian, Eagle and Nampa when necessary and as directed by supervisor.


  • Receive checking and savings deposits: verify cash and endorsements, receive proper identification for cash back and issue receipts of deposit.
  • Examine checks deposited and determine proper funds availability based on regulation requirements and complete hold notices.
  • Process savings withdrawals. Cash checks: verify endorsement, receive proper identification and ensure validity.
  • Identify counterfeit currency.
  • Answer basic customer inquiries regarding interest rates, service charges and account histories while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and consumer privacy policies.
  • Cross-sell bank products and services.
  • Refer customers to the proper department for issues that cannot be resolved at the teller line.
  • Count and roll loose coins.
  • Issue personal money orders and cashier’s checks, accept orders and payment for U.S. Savings Bonds and sell American Express Travelers Checks (single & multiple signer).
  • Accept loan payments: verify payment amount and issue receipts.
  • Buy and sell currency from the vault as necessary, ensuring that teller drawer cash limits are not exceeded.
  • Ensure teller station is properly supplied.
  • Follow procedures for removing accounts for dormancy.
  • Balance drawer daily, including periodic batching of cashed checks.
  • Process cash advances, redeem U.S. Savings Bonds.
  • Maintain appropriate currency logs.
  • Follow all bank policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for opening new accounts and complying with MWB policies and procedures when doing so.
  • Proficient with the HPC and actively participates in the TAF program
  • Answer basic customer inquiries regarding interest rates, service charges and account histories while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and consumer privacy policies.
  • Uses the 2-2-2 guidelines within the prescribed time frames
  • Actively participates in HPC displays and Big Days
  • Follows up with Temporary Signature cards within the appropriate time frames
  • Accurately closes all accounts
  • Perform other transactions as need in accordance with policy and procedures.
  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

About You


  • 2 year experience in a branch banking environment with experience as a CSR and PFR
  • Must be flexible and adaptable when moving from branch to branch
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Good computer skills

  • Previous leadership experience

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation. 

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Light work. The employee is constantly required to stand and walk. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
