My career with First Bank began 10 years ago as a teller. Throughout the years, I have advanced within the company and was promoted to several different positions. Today, I am a lender and am grateful to work for a company that provides opportunities for their employees to succeed. With their support, I have grown into the business professional I am today.

As a new employee with almost a year of service under my belt, I can honestly say First Bank is one of the best places I have ever had the privilege to work at! I had over 18 years of banking experience when I joined First Bank. Some of it was good, some bad. First Bank has allowed me the opportunity to use some of that past experience to give input on operational policies and procedures. First Bank has a long history in the communities we serve, and we’re a name that people recognize and respect. So when I say I work for First Bank, I can be proud of that. Decisions are made locally about donations, sponsorships and the causes in our community that the bank supports, which is important to me. I love the people I work with. In my position, I have had the opportunity to work with people in many of our branch locations and I really enjoy that. Because we’re part of the Glacier Family of Banks, I’ve also had the opportunity to work with people at other bank divisions, and be part of some larger projects. We have a ton of opportunity to advance in our careers if we want to - not only at First Bank, but also through the whole Glacier Family of Banks. And for many of them, you don’t have to move! Our company provides great benefits, including the wellness program and the retirement plan. I love the people I work with, and I really enjoy working here.
I have worked for other financial institutions and the time I have spent with First Bank has been my absolute favorite. I feel like I really am part of a working team here. I have support from the management within my branch, but also those in upper management. First Bank is centered on making sure everyone feels and KNOWS that they are valued at every position. I can honestly say that because I started from a Teller and felt that I was important all the way to being the Operations Manager. Another thing that stands out to me is First Bank’s monthly culture meetings, where we gather as a team and discuss a range of topics relating back to our culture as an organization. We are given tools to help us to be more accountable, and we work together to thrive as a team. We discuss the good and the difficult, and how to deal with change. I know that good morale is a priority to First Bank and in my experience, that is something rare to find in an employer. The opportunities I have gotten at First Bank are more than I expected and I feel confident every single day that I have made the correct choice in building my career here.
