    Donations and Corporate Giving

For over 30 years we have supported community festivals, projects and initiatives in North Central Washington. We encourage and support activities that help make our communities stronger because we know it makes us a better community bank. Following are some of the specific ways in which we have recently given back to our communities:

    • Chelan Valley Hope – our donation helped this organization secure a permanent location from which to deliver a variety of services to under-resourced individuals throughout the Lake Chelan Valley.
    • Lighthouse Christian Ministries – our donation helped fund the renovation of a building to house, among other services, a soup kitchen, medical and dental clinic, and food bank serving the homeless in the Greater Wenatchee Area.
    • North Central Education Foundation – for the past couple years we have been the main sponsor of a program that provides classroom project grants to teachers in Okanogan, Grant, Douglas, and Chelan counties.
    • Local Schools – we sponsor and fund financial literacy education curriculum in elementary schools in our communities.
    • Performing Arts Center of Wenatchee – we are the presenting sponsor of the Wenatchee Apple Blossom musical production in May.
    • Community Festivals – we support as many community festivals as possible by providing sponsorships, volunteers, and by participating in parades and events.

    Employee Volunteerism

North Cascades Bank encourages all of our employees to volunteer their time with community based organizations. Being involved with local organizations helps us better understand the needs of the communities we serve, enabling us to be responsive to the things that are important to the people who live here, us included!

North Cascades Bank has given me such an incredible opportunity to live my dreams and follow in my dad’s footsteps as a banker. After closing our restaurant and being a chef for quite some time, I took a leap of faith to find out what the banking world has to offer me. I did not have any banking experience when I first started working for NCB, but I could easily tell that I was meant to work for this company from the moment I walked in to this bank. From my first interview to where I am today shows that anything is possible with hard work, dedication, and believing in yourself. I started as a part-time teller and began moving up in my position to a full-time teller. However, I didn’t stop advancing at just the teller level, soon I became the company's first ever Resource Banker and now I am a Personal Banker. Being a Personal Banker is the position that I've worked toward and desired for quite some time and I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for every single one of my NCB family members who supported me through my journey. They inspired me with their encouraging words and stories and I am incredibly grateful. North Cascades Bank has provided an environment for growth, advancement, and allowed me to build relationships with my colleagues and our customers. NCB is a great community bank that truly cares about their customers and employees and goes above and beyond to help our clients. This is a true reflection of our promise to be North of the Expected. It’s a great company to start a career in banking and I wouldn't want to work anywhere else. I look forward to seeing where this journey in banking takes me and what NCB has in store for me in the future.

The moment I walked in to North Cascades Bank for my first job interview, I felt comfortable and at ease. I was greeted with warm friendly smiles and relaxed conversation. During the interview I felt a strong sense of pride and company loyalty. This was unlike any interview I have been in before; their choice was not only to add an employee but to add a member to their North Cascades Bank family.

Almost three years later, I share the same sense of pride and company loyalty I felt in that first interview. Every member of our North Cascades Bank team appreciates dedication and hard work; not only at work but in our communities. We encourage innovative ideas in an effort to streamline processes and continue growth.

In an industry built on compliance, North Cascades Bank has successfully managed to create an environment built on teamwork, accountability, community involvement, accomplishments, and fun.

I walk in the door every day knowing today holds a great opportunity to be part of something meaningful; not only to our team but the lives of our customers and community. I leave with the knowledge that North Cascades Bank has given me the chance to become part of a remarkable team, but even better, part of a family.

Nineteen years ago North Cascades Bank purchased the small community bank I was working for. I remember feeling anxious about how the change would impact my job. I soon realized my new employer shared the same priorities I have had through out my 37 years of banking, which is to provide exceptional, personalized customer service. I also learned quickly that with hard work and dedication a person could grow their career with the company and receive support and encouragement from supervisors and senior management.

I began my banking journey fresh out of high school as a teller. While working for North Cascades Bank, I have had the opportunity to transition from a teller to new accounts area, and was eventually promoted to a branch manager. In 2017 the bank made plans to develop a teller training program and hire a new trainer. While I enjoyed my role as branch manager and the interaction with customers on a daily basis, I thought training new tellers would be extremely rewarding. I applied for the Trainer position and I now lead the bank’s teller training program. In my current training position I have the opportunity to share my banking experiences while at the same time mentoring and encouraging new tellers. I hope that after hearing the story of my journey, all North Cascades Bank tellers will realize the opportunities available to them and feel confident in knowing that there will be lots of encouragement and support along the way.
